Background

Sleepytroll is a Norwegian company focused on manufacturing innovative and smart sleeping solutions for children.

Challenge

Sleepytroll has been a successful brand in the retail space, but struggled with their DTC sales while also supporting the marketing for their retail channel.

Execution

Twelve Monkeys assisted with a strategy & execution in their online marketing channels. This mainly focused on on increasing brand awareness, and getting a positive return on investment in their DTC channel by:

  • Setting clear and measurable targets at the start of the partnership
  • Setting a budget split between campaigns for assisting retail sales, as well as having a budget for DTC sales supported by an up-to-date dashboard
  • Adding untapped markets in their DTC channel
  • Restructuring their Meta campaigns by removing restrictions on the campaigns and letting the Meta algorithm do its best work delivering an improved ROAS. This was supported by a continuous creative testing program.
  • Restructuring Google Ads and Google Shopping campaigns to optimise scalable non-brand campaigns in the key markets, whilst not increasing CPC’s for their retail partners.

Results

Twelve Monkeys accepted this challenge and the results for Sleepytroll within a 3 month time frame have been astounding:

  • +188% DTC revenue growth
  • +16% marketing spend
  • +148% ROAS

These results show great potential for further growth of the SleepyTroll brand. The next goal is to grow the DTC sales further while simultaneously increasing the retail channel.
